Caiti,
I just had a chance to look at the updated Canton of Westland Mor website. It looks great!

Twelfth Night in St. Swithin's Bog
Greetings!
Here are some moments from Twelfth Night in St. Swithin's Bog. As always, friends gathered togother to celebrate the season, fellowship and to recognize the works--great and small--of our SCAdian family.
Vivat to Hrothgar, now Sir!
Vivat to Iago, now Master!
Vivat to Rachel, now Lady!
May the sun shine gently upon you,
Elizabeth...known as Rose

Hapy New Year!!!
A new year is upon us... so what are some of your SCAdian New Year Resolutions?
A new piece of garb? A new event to attend? A new skill to learn?
Share your resolutions with your fellow SCAdians, someone might be able to assist you in achieving your goal or be inspired by it!!!
Either way... have a safe and wonderfully good New Year!!!
And don't forget to attend the Barony's annual Twelfth Night on January 17th at Green Gables. See the Canton's Events & Demos page for more details.

SCA Photos
Greetings everyone!
A heart-felt Welcome back to all our Pennsic Pilgrims! To all of you who are authors on this blog, please share your (family-friendly) stories. Or even your favorite photograph or two.
Speaking of photography, many of us try our darndest to be photographers... and often we manage to capture a really good photo of a battle or friends. However, there is a gentleman who walks among us in the SCA capturing some extraordinary images! While the Pennsic 37 photos are not posted yet (geez, give the guy a break... he's probably still unpacking), there are plenty of other photos to be found from past events - and some of our vary own Boggers! There are two really nice pictures of Mistress Cynthia in among those taken at the Siege of Harlech Castle I.
Check them out for yourself: http://www.pbase.com/darter02/sca
Take care!

Pennsic War 37 is under way!

Ever wonder what Pennsic looks like to all those people traveling North and South on Rte 79? Well... wonder no more!
If "a picture is worth a 1000 words," when you combine it with several years of memories does it make the picture worth a million words?

What a vision to break the corner and have Pennsic come into view from the Highway. I could smell bonfires, hear laughter, imagine the paths people would walk and what they might see.
So, for everyone going to Pennsic (and for those who might not see this until they get back)... may your journey be safely made, may the sun smile upon you (or at the very least a rainbow follow the storms), and may you revel in the laughter and company of good friends both old and new.
Until our paths meet again!
Yours in humble service,
Caitilin

Our good Baron set a quest upon us a few years ago. We were to contemplate what the SCA means to us. There isn't one answer for me. The SCA is a framework for the things I enjoy...fiber arts, learning, even a little make-believe. All that is wonderful, but I wouldn't truly enjoy the experience without the friends I have made over the years...be they old friends, new friends, or far away friends.
